Rahul Jain joined Core Capital in 2007 as an Associate after nearly seven years of experience at 3Com in marketing, product management and business development roles. While at 3Com, Rahul was responsible for defining and implementing sales and marketing strategies that grew the company’s embedded firewall and secure adaptor business. He was also part of 3Com’s Connectivity strategic investment team, where he led due diligence efforts on emerging companies in sectors such as video, storage, wireless and security.
Rahul began his career as an engineer at Internet Devices, a networking security start-up acquired by Alcatel, and has also worked for the U.S. intelligence community and university research organizations. He has worked with the New Vantage Group, an angel venture fund, and has been an advisor to the Lion Group, a private equity group, in efforts ranging from strategic development to due diligence on global investments. He is currently involved with Youth Ventures, a non-profit that supports young people in designing and launching ventures to address social issues, and was a CORO Community Fellow.
Rahul holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech and an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland. A San Francisco native, Rahul nows resides in Arlington, VA.
Board Involvement:Rahul represents Core as an Observer on the Boards of Directors of 6th Sense Analytics, Inlet Technologies, JackBe, and V.i. Labs.
